Chocolate Orange Truffles
When I was younger, my mom would buy those aluminum foil covered chocolate oranges for me and my sister for Easter and we LOVED them. They were probably eaten in half a day flat. My sister and I also drank orange juice with our popcorn when we watched movies..but don’t worry I didn’t make a recipe with that combo.
We can probably all agree that chocolate tastes good with nearly anything. But, I somehow had forgotten how delish orange and chocolate are together. A while ago, my friend (heyyyy Mikaela!) asked me to make her healthier chocolate orange balls and I am finally here with a killer recipe.
I made these babies at 9 pm one weekday night (low key procrastinating from studying). I just whizzed up some awesome ingredients in my food processor and BAM. Magic. Seriously, I took one bite and yelled “OH MY GOSH THESE ARE AMAZING”. Let me know if you have the same reaction after making them! Oh, and raw chocolate ganache is optional but actually not at all optional. Trust.
Thank you Mikaela for reminding me how good chocolate and orange are together. I will be making you a batch ASAP !
