My Top 10 Favorite Podcasts

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know that I am podcast obsessed. I have been sharing some of my favorite ones on my IG stories since stories became a thing. Podcasts are a wonderful tool to gain new knowledge and discover people who are doing really cool things in the world. They are my favorite thing to listen to in the car or walking around my college campus. It is really nice to listen in on other people’s conversations, because it kind of makes me feel like I am right there with them. This is perfect for an introverted extroverted person like myself.

Podcasts have truly changed my life due to all the note-worthy information I have gained from them. My favorite topics are on self growth, mental health, and overall wellness. Although, I do love a good mystery style podcast like Up and Vanished every now and then.

Podcasts have definitely gained a lot of popularity recently and because of that, the space has gotten a bit saturated. This is definitely a good thing! But, it can also be overwhelming-especially if you are new to the podcast world. I curated a list of my favorite pods so that maybe you can discover some new ones and become obsessed with me! Stay inspired, friends.

  • Let it Out With Katie Dalebout: This was one of the first podcasts that I discovered years ago and to this day it’s my veryyy favorite. Katie Dalebout is such a sweet soul and even though I have never met her, I feel as if she is a close friend.  She interviews a variety of inspiring people from the wellness world and beyond. Katie has a balanced approach to health and body image after going through her own battle of eating disorders in her past. Her perspective on health, wellness, and body image is refreshing. This pod cast has made me laugh and cry. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting some inspiration.

  • That’s So Retrograde: If you are a wellness junkie but still like to keep it real, this pod cast is for you! These girls bring light and a much appreciated humor to the wellness sphere. They discuss everything from astrology, meditation, diet trends, and more. I would be lying if I said I haven’t binged listened through every episode.

  • From The Heart Conversations with Yoga Girl: Okay, so I have been a fan-girl of Rachel Brathen since 2013. If you don’t know who she is, she is the goddess behind the Instagram @Yoga_girl that has over 2M followers! She is someone who is not afraid to be real and honest, which is one of the reasons why I admire her so much. On her Instagram page, she has always been raw with her feelings and her podcast is no exception to this. Rachel has interviewed super inspiring people in the yoga/wellness world and their conversations are vulnerable and inspiring. This podcast brings me so much happiness because of the authentic love that Rachel radiates-I promise you will love her and her podcast.

  • The Rich Roll Podcast: This podcast has been out for years, but I did not discover it until this past year. Rich Roll is a plant-based Iron Man Athlete and basically a straight up bad ass. He is the best interviewer that I have heard on a podcast and is super down to earth. I really enjoy his pod cast because they leave me feeling insanely motivated. Many of his guests are athletes but he has also interviewed people who are doctors, astrologers, and light makers. This is definitely a must subscribe.

  • That’s So Maven: Davida, from the popular blog The Healthy Maven, started this pod cast last year and I became addicted since the first episode. Davida has an honest and approachable view to healthy living and she really is someone who stays strong in her own truth. She interviews amazing people in the wellness and health space which leaves me with loads of inspiration. Davida is an advocate for intuitive eating and body acceptance which is something that I admire. Definitely check this pod out!

  • Food Psych: This podcast is hosted by a registered dietitian who is dedicated to bringing more awareness to the lies of diet culture. Christy Harrison provides listeners with the knowledge of  intuitive eating, the Health at Every Size movement, and more. This is an amazing podcast to listen to if you suffer from disordered eating, negative body image, or yo-yo dieting and want to find food freedom.

  • One Part Podcast: Jessica Murnane, the host of this show, is kind of the coolest and realest person ever. She is not afraid to ask her guests really personal and taboo questions which always makes for a good episode. Jessica is an advocate for plant based eating because eating this way helped her endometriosis tremendously. She has incredible guests on the podcast and I always feel like I am right there with them in the conversation. I couldn’t recommend enough!

  • Mind Body Musings Podcast: This podcast has absolutely changed my life for the better. When I first started listening to Madelyn Moon’s pod, I was very new in my disordered eating recovery. Mind Body Musings played a big part in helping me to have a healthy relationship with body image/food again. This podcast has evolved from focusing on body acceptance to more spiritual topics. Madelyn is a fantastic interviewer and speaker whose words always just soak right in for me. There are currently 163 episodes on this podcast and each of them are insanely note-worthy and inspiring.

  • Free Cookies: This is a new-to-me podcast but I have been LOVING each and every episode so far. This podcast is on ESPNW radio…and that makes me feel proud to tell my boyfriend that I listen to something that is a part of ESPN. The hosts of this show are none other than the power couple Kate Fagan and Kathryn Budig. They discuss topics both on sports and wellness as well as fun stuff about their relationship. This is a positive and lighthearted podcast that makes me laugh and smile.

  • Share The Health: Nina, the host of this show is an amazing woman who interviews women who are changing the way we nourish, train, and create. I absolutely love the conversations that she has had with some incredible women entrepreneurs and creators. I was fortunate enough to be one of her guests on the show! You can listen to that episode here.
