The Major Wellness Practice I was Neglecting
I thought I was doing it all. Meditating, deep breathing, mindful movement, healthy eating, using non-toxic skin care, drinking superfood lattes. With all of these practices, shouldn’t I have felt like a majestic goddess flying on a shimmering unicorn? I wasn’t, and I knew for a long time that something major was missing.
Connection. The single most important wellness practice to ever exist. The most powerful yet most neglected. I was so busy focusing on nourishing my body physically, that I pushed aside nourishing my soul with relationships.
My ego got in the way. It wanted me to believe that I was not worthy of having like-minded friends. That no one would want to hangout with someone who burns palo santo and drinks spirulina smoothies. My ego told me that I was not good enough to have the connections and relationships that others had.
Those thoughts are simply not true. I am worthy. We are ALL worthy of incredible soulful relationships. When I realized this and made more effort to the relationships in my life, something inside me shifted. I began to be more attracted to humans that had a positive energy and started letting go of the relationships that no longer served me. The right people started to enter my life at the perfect time.
I am now able to be more vulnerable with others, and vulnerability brings power! I have been giving more of myself. I give my time, gifts, my listening, my love. And in return I received it all back! By connecting with positive people, my soul was fed and I found what I had been missing for so long!
When we connect with other high vibe humans, our energies together have the power to bring in positive change into the world. Don’t settle for less than what you deserve. Don’t listen to your ego when it tells you that you aren’t worthy of meaningful connection. Find your high vibe tribe and love them hard.
