Vegan Peppermint Hot Cocoa

A creamy hot cocoa with a hint of peppermint. Made without dairy, refined sugar, and just as dreamy as your childhood favorite.

Ingredients

Hot Cocoa

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

Chocolate rim

  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

For Hot Cocoa

  1. In a medium sauce pan, add in all ingredients.

  2. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, whisking frequently.

  3. Once hot and well whisked, pour into two mugs. Enjoy with a friend for best results. :)

For Chocolate Rim

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil.

  2. Microwave for 30 seconds on 50% power. Stir. Repeat again until the chocolate has completely melted.

  3. Spoon the melted chocolate on the edge of the mug before pouring in the hot cocoa.
